$20,000 + 2 months
I wanted to share my story. Two months ago my 2012 Volt stopped charging. I took it immediately to the dealer. A week later he told me they had replaced a module but that blew out two others. The next week he told me they had replaced all three modules and the AC was no longer working. Then, things went dead for a while.
At the one month mark, we were told a $20,000 module was the problem but that no one wanted to change this out without engineers from GM coming down to verify. Over the next month, engineers visited twice, and have yet to figure out anything new or verify.
I'm guessing the $20,000 module is the whole battery component system but have never had that verified. Anyway, just wanted to share this worst case scenario, as my Volt still is sitting at the dealers as we start out third month.

as a volt owner this is a scenario I don't like hearing, you have been without a vehicle for over 2 months. does this qualify you under the lemon law for a vehicle replacement or full reimbursement ?

Not a LEMON under Ohio's lemon law:
WHAT IS A LEMON?
A lemon is a new motor vehicle that has one or more problems, covered by the warranty, that substantially impair the use, value or safety of that vehicle. The problems must occur within the first year or first 18,000 miles, whichever comes first. (TAKEN FROM OUR STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S WEBSITE)
My understanding is Ohio's lemon law was written using model language used by many other states. You may want to check your state's law.

Hello I have a new Volt to me. I am afraid I am going through similiar issues, but I don't want to think this just yet. I have had a ton of "odd" issues, but I am still getting to use the car, so I wonder if it is me too. I am sure a bit of both. I am going to start keeping a log. What were some of your specific examples please?
