You can't help it at first. It can be confusing and distracting at first.
Now I just drive it like a regular car ...other than plugging it in every night.

This was a good tip and I appreciate your sharing this. Today, after reading your post, I too drove without being fixated at all the info on the panel.
I'm still having a hard time with trying to figure out how to set "FAVS" on my XM Radio... I'll just have to find a cool afternoon under the shade of a tree, and drink a very cold glass of tea as I sit in the Volt reading the manual...
I used to pick things ip fairly quickly, but the diagnosis of MS for me seems to be " Mostly Slow" these days.
I also have to admit "Mostly Slow" applies to me hypermiling as I commute between my two farms, nearly 50 miles apart, totally on electric with now gasoline needed.
Today, I was able to use my news SPC X-press 240 quick charger I instaled at "Farm B" and I was totally charged in exactly 3 hours. Amazing

I was just barely able to check the 31-35 box! My volt is a company, and I love it just the same!

Well I am 48 and I did buy a volt because at heart I am a geek and want the best tech stuff. But also wanted to go greener and tired of giving money to gas so that others can get fat happy with money. The idea of driving to work for 21 miles and then driving home and using only about 4 to 5 miles of gas in the return trip is glorious ! I just filled up yesterday after going electric for two weeks. Then while at BJ's a guy flagged me down and said could he talk to me about my volt. I said of course. We talked, found out he was a Prius owner and did not come over to our side of the fence because he was misinformed and he admits he did not research the matter wholeheartedly. Oh well for him and hurray for me!

"RISE FROM THE GRAVE"
Haha, I'm 33 and I love my car. It's paying itself with what I'm saving from gas... I think it was a great buy!

I will hit 1000 miles this week on my 2016 Volt, have not purchased any gas since fill-up at delivery. Cold weather has bad effect on elec charge, but above 45F all is fine.
No problems in snow, use SPORT mode a lot, fun to drive - can't wait for summer.
The Lane Keep feature is pretty cool - have to try it to believe it.
Just installed Lev2 charger.
Always had manual shift, Chevy performance cars - and have to say the Volt is a fun car! I am 71.

81 Here. This 2014 Volt is my fourth hybrid, 2001 Prius, followed by a Civic CVT, followed by an Accord, and now the Volt. From the back all except the Accord look like a shrunken Pontiac Aztek from the rear.
