Charger connection problem
I have had my Volt about a year and a half and suddenly have had a terrible time connecting the charger to the car. It's gotten cooler but I don't think that's the problem. Is there some sort of lubricant or maintenance I need to do? Thanks.

I had to replace the 120 VAC plug on the charger cord & the Receptacle because the plug was overheating; probably due to a poor wire connection inside the plug. I went back with 20 amp plug & receptacle; no more issues.

It works for me
FYI: the charger that comes with the Volt is capable of utilizing 240V; all you need is a 240V receptacle and some adaptors or whatever routine you wish to do to plug it into it, and lo and behold, charging takes 4-5 hours for totally empty battery. I took the risk, but after seeing below I thought it was a risk worth taking. Cheers.
