jljeeper I had it happen twice about a year ago. Rebooting cured it each time. I found that you actually need to shut off the car and exit with the FOB and momentarily walk away from the car before it resets. I think the car doesn't fully go off right away if the FOB is still detected. I has not happened in the last year but I did have a similar issue once with the Radio not coming on until I rebooted. The car itself has always operated fine during these oddities. There are forums that have much more traffic if you ever need quick answers. Not very active here. Kind of like a ghost town

Driver Information Center (DIC) Blackout

I have a 2013 Chevy Volt with 11115 miles on it. Last night, while driving home from an errand, I noticed that the DIC, or Driver Information Center went completely dark. This is the first time that I have experienced this anomaly. I tried turning off and then restarting the car, hoping that the error would clear but it did not. I then called OnStar for a diagnostic check and two(2) codes came back. U184C and U001155. I guess they pertain to the integrated circuitry and airbag control of the car. This morning I checked the fuse (F3), which protects this display, located on the left side of the instrument panel to see if it was blown but it was OK. I then took the car out this morning to do some errands and found that the display was functioning completely. My question is, has anyone else experienced the scenario and is this the tip of the iceberg for other problems to follow. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.
